Digital preservation

The Scientific Journal of Astrobiology utilizes the OJS platform for managing its publications. Within this system, it employs the PKP-PN functionality to ensure the preservation of its content. PKP-PN works in collaboration with LOCKSS, a distributed and decentralized storage system that partners with various library institutions. This mechanism facilitates the creation of permanent copies of the journal for conservation and recovery purposes, ensuring constant and uninterrupted access. Additionally, PKP-PN handles the preservation of journals that are not supported by other digital storage services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, ensuring their availability for future reference. Furthermore, the journal's publications are stored on the servers of the Peruvian Association of Astrobiology.
